Horizon Community Church Who We Are: (Mission) We are committed to join with our community, to share God's blessings and to demonstrate the love of Jesus to others; being a body of people learning to experience the depth of God's love for us. What We're About: (Vision) We want to live the life of Jesus, so we are modeling our ministry after his. Matthew 4:23 - Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What to expect when you attend a Horizon worship service. Worship starts at 10am Sunday mornings. Plan on being here about 9:45. That gives you time to grab a cup of coffee and say hello! The church is located in the Meadowbrook Shopping Center. When you enter Horizon you will be warmly greeted at the door and given a bulletin. One of many friendly faces will show you where to find refreshments, the restrooms, and childcare. We are a Christian Reformed Church that worships in a contemporary style. Our average service has 70 people in attendance. The music is upbeat. You will see a person or two in a suit, but most of us wear jeans or khakis. Our philosophy is "come as you are". Children 2 and under will be lovingly cared for in our nursery which is located at the far end of the sanctuary. But, if you prefer to keep your child with you during the service, feel free to do so. During worship we start with songs of praise, announcements and opening prayer. Children 3 yrs through 5th grade are then dismissed to Sunday School. Our service ends around 11:15am We then gather for coffee and a sweet treat. It's a great time to say "hi" to Pastor Jon Hoekema. And of course, Everyone would love to get to know you too!

Reminder This Sunday is Potluck Sunday with a Mexican Theme. All are Welcome Bring something to share. If you haven't visited us before, don't worry about bringing anything. We always have enough to share. Come worship with us at 10:00am and stay for lunch afterwards. We would love to see you.

If you are new, you do not have to bring anything just enjoy fellowship with others. We always have plenty.
